Today Apple App Store has published my first iPhone application!

My Patterns application is a kaleidoscope of the digital age. It allows to use your favourite pictures to produce kaleidoscopic patterns, manipulate them using your fingers, rotate, animate and save resulting images or email them to your friends.

In this post, I present seven miniatures – tiny Processing programs – created by me specially for Tiny Sketch competition organized by OpenProcessing and Rhizome.org. It was quite fun to optimize Processing code to fit into 200 bytes limit and still maintain aesthetic look of resulting graphics.

Variation of Complex Flower

Today I decided to experiment with a different rendering options of the the complex flower sketch. Instead of filling-in each curve with solid color, now only in outline is drawn.

Here is the result – an updated complex flower. I think it looks more interesting than previous version.

Kaleidoscope

One of the toys that fascinated me as a child was a kaleidoscope. I liked magic of ever changing patterns replicating itself to infinity. So I have created a kaleidoscope of the digital age.
